Free Online Class for Creative Watercolor and Mixed Media Pre-orders!

Hi there,

I’m happy to share some big news with you: My third book “Creative Watercolor and Mixed Media” is being published by Quarto Creates on November 17th, 2020!

As you may or may not know, the success of a book depends hugely on pre-orders. I’ve been so humbled by the amount of support I’ve received from you all during my first two books’ pre-order phase, that Quarto and I have decided to do something extra special for this one. :)

Okay- here’s what’s happening.

We are hosting a free online class via zoom for everyone who pre-orders a copy of the book!

• When:

Saturday, September 26th, 2020 at 12:00pm EST

• How:

Send a screenshot with your pre-order proof of purchase to CreativeWatercolorMM@gmail.com

To pre-order the book, simply type in “Creative Watercolor and Mixed Media" or “Ana Victoria Calderon” into Amazon. You can also find direct shopping links here.

If your country is not carrying the pre-order item yet, please read until the bottom of this post.

• Where:

A few days before the online class you will receive instructions and zoom access. The class will be a live event, you are welcome to paint along with me or simply observe the demonstration.

We will be painting one of my favorite activities from the new book:

Loose and Experimental Healing Crystals

Here is a list of supplies you will need for this class:

• Watercolor paper

• Watercolor paints (tubes, pans or liquid)

• Variety of brushes

• Masking Fluid (if you don’t have this, I will share alternatives)

• Table salt

• Optional: gold dust, flakes, glitter, metallic paints.

I can’t wait to see you there! I’ll share some more photos from the book to keep you inspired in the meantime. Creative Watercolor has all of my favorite things: skies, constellations, gems, planets, clouds, lots of shimmer and even an intro to sacred geometry!

The Magic Jungle Experience 2019

Hello friends! If you follow me on instagram you might have heard of the yearly retreat I co-host with Nadia and Margarita in magical Tulum. This is a special program for creative entrepreneurs looking to expand their artistic businesses and projects.

Here are some highlights captured by our resident photographer Hana Haley.

On arrival day we always start out with a couple of tours of your new surroundings for the week, a delicious welcome dinner so we can get to know each other and an opening ceremony to set intentions for the week.

A few random moments throughout the retreat. Our amazing Magic Jungle gift bag, a peek in to our class room, delicious avocado toast, our dining room at night and a couple of the ladies taking notes during our social media workshop.

We always watercolor together! These are some of my favorite moments from our workshop table.

We had an amazing time during our cenote excursion. We took underwater photography (or at least tried to! ha), did casual tarot readings, swam and even set up a little watercolor picnic table and painted using cenote water!

Our actual program is probably our biggest hidden gem. There are a lot of things that can call your the the Magic Jungle, but what we discover as the days go by is that participants are always surprised at the amount of work that goes in to our classes and workshops.

This experience is mystical and relaxing, but at the core the program is designed to fuel your creativity while helping your artistic business or project expand. There truly is no other retreat like this anywhere!
